2016 Post Season

The information below applies to the 2016 Post Season

When the regular season comes to a close, Little Leagues everywhere begin preparing for post-season activities, commonly known as All Stars!

All Serra Little League players are eligible to be selected for All Star teams. Selection to play on an All Star team is a significant honor, but also comes with some significant responsibilities and expectations for both the players and their families.

The teams are comprised mainly of Majors and Minors players and in certain cases Farm players. For parents of players in Pioneer and T-ball, this is something to look forward to as your son or daughter develops his/her baseball skills in the coming seasons. The All Star teams can be placed in 3 categories of participation: Serra All Stars, District All Stars, and Friendship Tournament teams. The teams and selection process are described in the All Star Selection Process. Teams are announced on Closing Ceremonies unless there are restrictions.

All Star Player and Parent Participation Requirements

Being selected for an All Star team is an honor, and requires a significant time commitment by the player and the player's family. Players will be expected to attend all scheduled practices and games. Little League prohibits the naming of alternate players. A player who leaves a team can be replaced, but once replaced cannot return to the team.

If your son/daughter and family cannot commit to the following obligations, please let your Manager and/or Player Agent know immediately, so that their name can be removed from consideration for All Star teams.

Parent Volunteer Expectations

Exhibition Teams, North/South and East West, are expected to prepare the field and breakdown the field on the day of their game.

District All Stars and Tournament Teams playing after closing ceremonies will be asked for additional volunteer time during the post season to help cover additional expenses not covered by fees. Parents must be willing to volunteer to help with facilities/field preparation, snack shack, BBQ, scorekeeping, pitch count, etc.
